Grief Counseling

When you are healing from trauma whether it be from an abusive past, a car accident, a natural disaster, or a death of a loved one there is often grief work to do. When we are in the midst of our healing journey we often have to say goodbye to parts of ourself that kept us surviving in the scary times in our life. This is often complicated and difficult to go through alone.

With grief counseling we can look at the losses you feel are coming up in your life. It is often helpful to have a guide with you in a grieving journey as it can feel lonely, isolating, and emotionally overpowering. The grief journey can be tailored to you and your needs and what it is that hurts the most.

Laura often uses the analogy of grief being like the ocean. We don’t know when the next big wave will come but helping to know how to get through it when it does can be an useful skill for future grief related needs.
